In addition, he delivered a keynote address at the 2025 World Science and Technology Development Forum, recently held in Beijing, China, under the theme: “Cooperation and Innovation in Artificial Intelligence to Address Global Development Challenges.” The conference was attended by global science and technology leaders and featured keynote addresses by leading scientists and engineers from around the world, including Nobel laureates. The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) organized this major international gathering where scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and others discussed four key themes: artificial intelligence, future industries, open science, and global cooperation. Through the exchange of intellectual perspectives, participants gained valuable insights to contribute to strengthening global collaboration in the age of artificial intelligence.
In addition, he delivered a keynote address at the University Partners Summit, organized by Beihang University, which brought together leading scientists and academics from around the world. The summit was held at Beihang University's International Campus in Hangzhou in October 2025. The event included various activities such as keynote addresses, the inauguration of joint laboratories, the signing of agreements, and bilateral discussions with partner universities.
Furthermore, he also delivered a keynote address at the 23rd International Professional Exchange Conference, recently held in Shanghai and Hangzhou, China. This event brought together nearly 5,000 leading experts, researchers, university administrators, diplomats, and industry leaders from around the world to explore opportunities for multidisciplinary innovation and foster collaboration between international talent and scientific and technological resources.
He also delivered a keynote address at the 2025 International Conference on Advanced Communications and Intelligence, held in Tripura, India, in late December 2025.
As the Past president and chairman of the board of directors of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International, Professor Obaidat recently visited the impressive facilities of the Asian Simulation Federation and the Chinese Simulation Federation at the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute and met with the President of AisaSim and its General Secretary.
He also recently co-chaired the 2025 IEEE International Conference on Communications, Computing, Cybersecurity, and Informatics (CCCI 2025), held in Hangzhou, along with Professor Lin Zhang.
In addition, Prof. Obaidat was the invited main distinguished keynote speaker at two major international conferences held in November 2025: the 2025 International Conference on 3D Imaging Technologies – Multidimensional Signal Processing and Deep Learning, held in Sanya, and the 2025 International Conference on Engineering Management, Computer Applications, and Supply Chain 2025 (EMCAS 2025), held in Guilin, under the auspices of the President of Guilin University of Aerospace Technology, who delivered the opening address.
Professor Obeidat is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), based in New York City, USA, a Fellow of the Society for Computer Modeling and Simulation (SCS), the past President of SCS, a Fellow of the Asia Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), based in Hong Kong, and a world-renowned international academic, scientist and engineer. He is an international expert in information technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and wireless networks, and a prolific author with a large number of citations and scholarly publications.
