Announcement to Students of Practical Training in the Department of Computer Information Systems

For the second semester 2024/2025

Attached is the distribution of students enrolled in the practical training course with their supervisors in the department. Therefore, each student is requested to communicate with their supervising doctor to approve the training location before starting the training.

Please also consider the following:

  • Each student should meet with their supervising doctor at the beginning of the semester to provide the name of the company where they will be training and a brief description of it, and to obtain approval for the training site.

  • The student's training must be in their field of specialization: Information Technology, and at accredited institutions.

  • Students must complete 90 hours of practical training before the end of the semester, plus take courses from organizations with which agreements have been made and are accredited by the Ministry of Digital Economy, such as Amazon, Red Hat, and Microsoft. A certificate of attendance must be submitted to the department after completion and before the end of the semester, no later than the last teaching day of the semester.

(90 hours of training + course certificate from accredited organizations).

  • Students must submit the training location approval form, available on the website of King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, after it has been filled out and stamped by the training company. Unstamped forms will not be approved, nor will they be signed by the supervising doctor.

  • Students must submit the training report form, available on the website of King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, filled out by the training organization at the end of the semester. It will only be accepted if it is stamped and approved by the company, totaling 90 hours and signed by the supervising doctor.

  • Any student who does not consult their supervising doctor will not have their practical training counted. Students must submit their training certificates and approved forms before the end of the semester. If a student delays submitting the training report form, it will not be accepted after the end of the semester, and the student's training will be considered canceled, requiring them to enroll in training again in a future semester.

  • All forms must be stamped by the companies where the students are training, and no unstamped forms will be accepted or approved.

  • For practical training students in the Department of Computer Information Systems, there is an option in the student self-registration system for approving the training location. Students should electronically fill out this request at the end of the semester and upload their training report. (The method has been uploaded on Teams).
