MSc. of Information Systems / Program Educational Objectives

At the successful completion of the M.Sc. program in Information Systems, the student should be able to:
  1. Build broad knowledge and understanding of Information Systems and new trends in the field.
  2. Examine and evaluate real-world situations and suggest IT solutions that leads to better management decisions.
  3. Develop critical thinking and analytical skills to apply information systems theories in order to develop effective models and solutions for problems in different areas that require IT solutions.
  4. Integrate possible information technology tools that have strategic value for the organization, and manage its implementation.
  5. Recognize the need for ethical standards implementation in the field of information systems development and apply it.
  6. Demonstrate professional communication skills needed to evaluate and develop IT solutions, both orally and in writing.
  7. Acquire advanced skills needed to conduct research-based tasks and conduct original research (for Thesis Track) in different information systems topics.
  8. Develop team-working and time management skills necessary to organize and conduct research projects.
  9. Produce a high-quality thesis and publish scientific papers in peer-reviewed reputable scientific journals.
