This course explores how the integration of computational, statistical and mathematical knowledge can be used to tackle complex life sciences problems. The main goal of this course is to provide introductory concepts in Bioinformatics including the basics of genomics, DNA sequencing, in addition to the techniques and tools that is used to manipulate genomics data , Sequence alignment; Sequence motifs; Search sequence databases; Phylogenetic trees; Data analysis: normalization and clustering. Other emerging topics. The students will present case studies in one of the covered topics.
