New Environment for Computer Information Systems Program

During the first-year orientation ceremony, the Information Systems Department introduced the new invironment  (Health) direction of the Computer Information Systems (CIS) program, aligning with ABET accreditation standards and responding to recent advancements in industry. Faculty emphasized that this shift aims to equip students with essential skills for careers in healthcare technology, offering a curriculum that meets current market needs.

The updated curriculuam includes new mandatory and elective courses in areas such as health information management, healthcare data security, and healthcare database administration. These courses, available starting this academic year, reflect the department's commitment to delivering relevant, high-quality education that empowers students to thrive in the rapidly expanding health informatics field.
