The University of Jordan hosts the 11th CPTC cybersecurity competition

​The University of Jordan is hosting the 11th CPTC competition specialized in cybersecurity, where more than 40 students from five teams in Jordan and four other teams in Dubai compete in an atmosphere full of challenge and excitement. 

Under the supervision of the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, represented by Dr. Oraib Abu Al-Ghanam from the Computer Science Department, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, represented by Dr. Reem Al-Fayez, this distinguished event features a selection of academic experts, including Professor Khair addin Sabri, Head of the Cybersecurity Department at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Dr. Mohammed Ababneh from the same university, Dr. Fadi Masalha from theApplied Sciences University (ASU), and Professor Mohammed Al-Qataouneh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at Amman Al-Ahliyya University.

This competition is an ideal opportunity to hone students' practical skills, as it simulates a real-world environment in the field of cybersecurity. Participants learn how to examine systems and detect security vulnerabilities, in addition to writing comprehensive reports on their findings. It also enhances their abilities to face contemporary security challenges, adding an exciting competitive edge to the event. The atmosphere is charged with enthusiasm, as each team strives to demonstrate its capabilities and showcase its skills in tackling a variety of challenges in the cybersecurity world.​
