With the world becoming a “global village “ in terms of ease and rapidness of communication, IT overwhelmingly dominating this digital era and playing a major role in coining this term by positively influencing many other disciplines. We as a community of scholars have a moral responsibility towards our society in promoting scholarship and in taking advantage of computer capabilities in developing reliable, sustainable and ethical technological solutions that can contribute in solving real-world complex business, economical, technical, medical and even social problems, and in numerous other applications. King Abdullah II School for Information Technology (KASIT) positioned within the University of Jordan (the first university in Jordan located in the beautiful capital Amman) offers Bachelor and Master level degree programs in computer science, computer information systems, and business information systems. Our aspiration is to contribute in the global research effort in devoting the benefits of computers to make daily lives easier, comfortable and more prosperous. Faculty at KASIT are involved in numerous fields related to computer science ranging from computer vision, bioinformatics, distributed systems, neural networks, machine intelligence, natural language, genetic algorithm, information retrieval and knowledge management systems, decision theory, cyber and information security, sensor networking and communication, e-commerce, and visualization and grid computing.
