Samsung Electronics Levant concluded the “Samsung Challenge”

Amman, Jordan (September 2012): Samsung Electronics Levant has concluded the “Samsung Challenge” activities that were held in the University of Jordan. Students from King Abdullah II School for Information Technology (KASIT) teamed up to participate in this challenge, which was organized by Samsung Electronics Levant, Sfonge company (Finland), and IdRC company (Jordan).

The challenge aimed at encouraging KASIT students to familiarize with the environment used for developing applications for Samsung smart phones and tablet computers. The challenge which launched in March 5th 2012 required the competing teams to design applications for Samsung smart phones and/or tablet computers using HTML5.

The students who won the challenge prize, which is an internship at Samsung Electronics Levant headquarters in King Hussein Business Park, were Mahdi AlKhatib (Computer Science department), Mahmoud Shtayyat (Computer Science department), Mahmoud Alqam (Computer Information Systems department), and Ehab Anan (Computer Information Systems department). The challenge jury consisted of: Mr. Yasin Hamed (Sfonge co-founder), Mr. Hadi Jadallah (R&D manager at Samsung Electronics Levant), Mr. Rami Al-Nabulsi (Systems Engineer at IdRC), and Dr. Sherenaz Al-Haj Baddar (KASIT/ University of Jordan).
